Givenchy Gloss in 02 & Dior Lipstick in Rose Tourbillon 651

Hey chics...

aqui les dejo a quick post on my lip choice for today... Ive been feeling super sick the past few days so today I really needed a little pick me up, and this lip combination was part of it :)

I think this is a perfect pinky nude combination, its taken a while for me to love these two products, but after a few wears I am now loving it...

The Givenchy lipgloss gives loads of shine and def looks best when combined with a lipstick, it doesnt suit me well on its own.

The Dior lipstick, gives like a semi matte look, its very conditioning and is the perfect every day lipstick.

both items can be bought from your usual department stores, and the Dior lipstick Im sure it can be found in Boots. I bought both of these from a friend who was selling a few items.

what do you think of Givenchy lipglosses and Dior lipsticks??

MeMeMe Blush Me! Blusher in Bronze & Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Coral Cloak

I had been eyeing up a few products on the MeMeMe website, when a few weeks ago I saw on their facebook page that they where offering a lipstick and a Blush Me! blusher for £7.00 and FREE postage! a saving of over £10! soooo obviously I couldn't give that a miss!! :)

It was a lil tough choosing what to go for, in the end since I had been wanting a coral shade lipstick (perfect for spring & summer)  I decided to go for Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Coral Cloak (£8.50) and Blush Me! Blush Box in Bronze (£8.50) ... I also decided to give their Skin Illuminator a wizz, I chose Sunbeam.

I was super excited when I received these in the post, so much so that I gave them a go almost immediately... I have now been using these for a few weeks and so far its been ok... I really like the lipstick, its very creamy but quite sheer? I was hoping for a more vivid solid colour, and the bronzer is pretty good, definately gives a nice glow! If you are wanting something matte, then this isnt for you! however if you want something that gives a nice bronzer with hints of gold shimmer then this is definately something to give a try!

Out of the three products, the only let down for me was the skin illuminator... unfortunately it doesnt go anything for me, I feel like it simply disappears without a trace on application.... sorry MeMeMe Cosmetics if you are reading this, but I am one let down customer when it comes to this skin illuminator, which is really sad as I was hoping it would be something to keep in my hand bag for the summer ... poohhhhhh ..  :(

Heres a picture of how the bronzer looks on...

handy brush and mirror!

Below is how the lipstick looks...

Its actually toned down slightly in the picture...

I know it looks pinkish, but its a coral shade! lol

I <3 the packaging!
Did any of you see the same promo on Facebook? if so what did you opt for??? leave your comment below or tweet me! @YENNI447

SUPERMARKET SWEEP (mini haul)

A FEW ESSENTIALS FROM ASDA SUPERMARKET ...

So today I stopped by ASDA as I needed to return a top which I had bought a few days ago, and thought I would stop by the beauty section and pick up a few things... I usually rely on Boots or Superdrug but on the rare occasion I do like to browse through Tesco and ASDA... anyways so heres what I bought...

  1. Sally Hansen Polish Removier for dry, brittle nails £2.00
  2. TRESemme Instant Refresh Volumising Dry Shampoo - will be comparing this to the Batiste Dry Hair Shampoo! £5.00
  3. Eyelure Naturalites in 107 £5.00
  4. Revlon Lash Adhesive £5.12 - I bought a really crapy lash adhesive a few weeks ago so hopefully this one will actually work!
  5. Blistex Intensive Moisturiser Hydrating £2.50 - I was in desperate need of a good chapstick/lip balm
  6. Montagne Jeunesse De-Clog Pores Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips £1.15 - I love the masks so thought I would give their new strips a wizz...

I will try to do a review on each of the above within the next few weeks as and when I use each product so keep a look out :)

Collection 2000 Cream Puff

COLLECTION 2000 - CreamPuff Moisturising Lip Cream in Fairy Cake 3

I absolutely love these little lip creams! I got 3 shades from Superdrug but today I wanted to review the shade 'Fairy Cake 3' as its what I am wearing today :)

I've been testing these out since Friday last week, and have definately enjoyed wearing them! The colour lasts ages, and they give a matte look... they are not drying, but it doesn't feel moisturising either? hummm i know you guys know what i mean! haha ;)

Anways so these lip creams can be purchased from Superdrug and cost only £2.99 (or less i think i cant even remember!) but either way they are cheap but do not have a cheap feel to it...

What do you think?? Have any of you tried these LipPuffs???

RIMMEL Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses in 600 Carry On Cherry

this is a quick review of the Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses 'Tranferproof' Lip Tint in Carry on Cherry...

It give a nice tint, its alot more 'reddish' than I expected, but its not drying at all, especially once the balm has been applied... however on the description it clearly states 'transferproof' but do they mean without the balm applied?? because I did 2 tests, one was drinking from a glass and the other was the kiss test (I had to use my hand, the hubby wasnt game for this test lol) ... the result was.... both glass and hand had my lips imprinted!! so very disappointed!! It doesnt do what it clearly states...

THE KISS TEST

THE GLASS TEST

As for what I am wearing today on the rest of my face-
Garnier BB Cream in Medium
Becca Loose Shimmer Powder in Hyawatha - applied using the MAC 242 brush

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black - applied using the brush it comes with

Urban Decay Primer Potion for the lids
Rimmel Brow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown

Most of these products can be purchased online, in Boots and Superdrugs.

KIKO Makeup Milano... Extra Volume Lipgloss Shade 04

Hey pretty ladies...

Happy New Year!!!! I know its a bit late... Ive really neglected my blog, it was in part pure laziness, and well just didnt have much to blog about... anyways so for my 1st post of 2012, I wanted to share my view on a new lipgloss given to me as part of my xmas pressie from one of my besties!!

KIKO Makeup Milano is an Italian brand (for those who havent heard of the brand yet) which was recently (ok maybe not that recent) launched in the UK... I first heard about it via my cousin who is a professional makeup artist, and so off I went and searched on good ol' google! ... whoaaaaa amazing colors!!!! the brand just looks so good... so anyways, my gorgeous bestie gave me a lipgloss... shade 04, its a gorgeous pinkish/coral colour, which when applied gave gorgeous shine, felt super smooth, NOT GLOOPY (yeay!) and actually gives a gorgeous nude shade (once applied) ...

Would I recommend this lipgloss??? Yes! definately... its feels super nice!!

I hope youve liked this mini review, and tempted you to go and try this lipgloss as well as the rest of the brand... :) xx

NYX MEGA SHINE LIPGLOSS

Hola nenasssss ...

as posted on my facebook page, NYX Cosmetics where offering a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE promotion on their Mega Shine Lipglosses... so obviously JennJenn just had to go ahead and take advantage (it was right on point with pay day ... muuaahahahahah) now originally the offer was only until the 27th of June midnight (i think...or maybe 28th? sorry mind has gone blank) anywhooo... the nice people at NYX decided to exten the offer, and so the Buy 1 Get 1 FREE offer is now NYX-stended (in their words...lol love it!!) until Thursday!!! wooohhhhoooooo ::JennJenn doing the happy shuffle::

Now first of all, I placed my order on Sunday late late night, and received them this morning!! thumbs up NYX!!! as last time it kind of took almost a week! so well done, I am very impressed with the quick delivery!!!

the colours that I chose where the following:
  1. POP - an Orange shade with glitter
  2. TANNED - a skin colour/nude shade
  3. TEA ROSE - a nice pink shade
  4. AMERICAN QUEEN - almost like a deep fucia shade
I have to say, that I do really like these lipglosses, the colours are quite sheer, apart from American Queen, they smell really nice, and they leave my lips feeling super soft!!! they are not sticky and gloopy like some lipglosses are ...

My only small complain (NYX if you read this) is that POP feels type grainy on the lips, the glitter is a bit rough, however, this will not deter me from purchasing again, simply because it looks nice, and once you wipe off any of these lipglosses, your lips are still left feeling super soft! so its a very very small complaint ...

so ladies, below are a few pics... I highly recommend these lipglosses, and would really encourage you to take advantage of the offer they have going on! :)

POP is like a sheer Orange colour... perfect for this season!

American Queen reminds me of NYX Lipstick in Eucalyptus

such a cute everyday colour!

for that nude effect! Tanned is just perfect!!

In a seperate posting, I will review the lashes that I also ordered from NYX Cosmetics :)

Kerri Hilson Inspired Look

you girls need to look out for this months Pride Magazine!! Kerri Hilson is unrecognisable in the front cover!!! SHE LOOKS AWESOME!!! I loved the makeup she has on there is just something about it that excited me!! lol yup makeup really does excite me!!! :)

I used black for the 'cut-crease' but in her pic she has used a dark brown - this is what i mean by tweaking makeup looks inspired by others to suit you or just to give it your own touch :) whoever did her makeup though is a G!!! love love love :)

She has nude lips - a lil tip to getting that nude lip effect if you dont have a nude lippy is to use your foundation over your lips, then set with a lil bit of poweder... make sure your lips are well moisturised or you will end up with flaky lips!!! now that is not a good look girls!!!!

I used some foundation on my lips, then dabbed some OCC Lip Tar and lined my lips with NARS lipliner...

If like me you have a few acne scars, make sure to use a good primer! the primer will fill in any lines and holes so that when you use your foundation it will sit ontop of the primer and not sink in... btw! me encanta NYC foundation!! super barato y super bueno...como va el dicho 'Bueno, Bonito y Barato' lol
This look was super easy to do!! honestly anyone can do it :) I wish I was going somewhere now cus damn what a waste lol guess where Im about to go?! PA LA CAMA!! hahahaha oh well.... i need to find an occasion to do this look again :)

AVON & New cid MAKEUP

I've been really slacking with my posts... the main reason I just havent had time! but also because as I keep saying, my camara sucks big time, so I havent been able to take many good pics... anywhooo... aqui les dejo a review de algunos cosmeticos from Avon and New I.D along with a few extra lil bits...

so today I was given a gel eye liner by new cid along with a  Luxurious Lip Colour also by new cid cosmetics in Cashmere and a mascara by Prestige cosmetics... also a couple of weeks ago I ordered a few things from AVON... I already have one of the glitter glimmer eyeliner sticks in Blue but I couldnt resist getting two more in sugar plum (a purple-ish colour)  and emerald glow (a dark green-ish colour) and a perfume by Herve Leger (esta locion huele riquisimo!!!) and the body cream is sooooooo nice!! it has a nice milky texture which absorbs quickly but leaves a lovely scent and really hydrates.

These glimmer sticks add suttle colour to your eyes without over doing it... they are a great solution if you are not comfortable applying eye-shadow... and they are also great I think for teenagers... also at only £3 they where a bargain...

To be honest I have never heard of this brand before, but I am loving the mascara! I dont usually like mascaras with big brushes, I tend to prefer the ones with a slimmer brush because they seem to really coat and seperate all my lashes, pero esta mascara me encanto!!!!!!! I have no idea where you can get it, or even how much it is, but when i find out les dejo saber!!!

new cid cosmetics gel liner... Its actually a trio consisting of three shades Bronze, Copper, Stone and comes with a small applicator brush... I still havent gotten to grips with gel liners, and this one is no different! lol I like the consistency, but I prefer liquid liners... I would use this more as a base for a dark smokey or coppery look....

The Luxurious Lip Colour in Cashmere isnt my type of colour... however the consistency is great! and I quite like the packaging... it felt great on my lips too :)

Max Factor, Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm

So last week I was moving out of my parents apartment (i finally flew the nest.. booo) anyways, so all my stuff was in boxes, and I couldnt find my 'everyday' lipbalm - perfect excuse to go in search of a new one... anyways so took a trip down to Boots in Liverpool Street and I came across the new 'Lip Balm' by Max Factor.

Now I'm a sukka for new stuff!! and I do prefer lipglosses/balms to lipsticks... so I thought hey why not try this. There are only 3 shades available from Boots - 02 Coral, 08 Pink Opal & 07 Pink Oyster Shell and costs £6.99. The shade I decided on for myself was 08 Pink Opal.

When I first applied it, I was rather shocked! Its VERY GRAINY!! Now I dont know about you, but when I think of a balm in particular I dont expect to find grainy bits... Its a bit glittery, so I am thinking this is why it feels grainy. Apart from this, I am satisfied with the product as a whole, you can build up the colour intensity by just applying a few layers, its kept my lips nicely moisturised and the tube is easy enough to carry in a small hand bag (clutch bag) or like me carry it in my pocket for easy access :) lol

so would I recommend it? hummm I would say try it, but I wouldnt say its a must-have! If you have some spare cash then go for it.
